Post-matric Scholarship for Disable, Maharashtra 2017-18, Class 11

Social Justice & Special Assistance Department, Government of Maharashtra announces the Post-matric Scholarship for Disabled. The beneficiary categories of this scholarship are blind, hearing impaired, low vision, mentally retarded, orthopedically handicapped, mentally ill and leprosy cured.The objective of this scholarship is to encourage higher education among the disabled.

Eligibility

To be eligible, an applicant must:

1. Be domiciled in Maharashtra
2. Be studying in Class 11 to Post graduation, e.g., H.S.C., Degree, Technical, Professional, Medical, and Engineering etc
3. Be a person with minimum 40 percent of disability.Have passed the previous class

Note- There is no any income criteria for this scholarship

Stipend

Maintenance Allowance:

1. Group A (Degree course in Medical, Engineering, Agricultural, Veterinary and postgraduate degree course)- The rate of scholarship per month is INR 1200 for hostellers and INR 550 for day scholar.
2. Group B (Diploma course in Medical, Engineering, Agricultural, Veterinary)- The rate of scholarship per month for hostellers will be INR 820 and for day scholar will be INR 530.
3. Group C (Post Graduate course in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Diploma in professional education)- The rate of scholarship per month for hostellers will be INR 820 and for day scholar will be INR 530.
4. Group D (From second-year degree course)- The rate of scholarship per month for hostellers will be INR 570 and for day scholar will be INR 300.
5. Group E (11th, 10th and 1st year of Degree Course)- The rate of scholarship per month for hostellers will be INR 380 and for day scholar will be INR 230.

Reader allowance for low vision and blind students:

1. The rate of scholarship for the students belonging to group A, B and C will be INR 100 per month
2. The rate of scholarship for the students belonging to group D will be INR 75 per month
3. The rate of scholarship for the students belonging to group E will be INR 50 per month
4. The study tour expenditure will be up to INR 500 per annum
5. The project typing expenditure will be up to INR 600 per annum.The tuition fees will be as per approved by the competent authority

Step 2: Fill in all required details. 

Step 3: Attach necessary documents. 

Step 4: Submit it to the concerned college.
