Highlights of AFMC MBBS 2017 Cutoff
- No applicant will be given admission if the minimum required marks is not scored in NEET 2017.
- Counselling session will be held for only those applicants who are able to secure the required cutoff.
- After each round of counselling, the admission committee will release the opening and closing rank of the qualified applicants.

2018 Admission Process for Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune - Entrance through NEET 2018
Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune is one of the most prestigious colleges in India. This is a government college, which belongs to the Maharashtra University.
Candidates entering AFMC should qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2017) conducted by CBSE and ultimately AFMC cut-off 2018. In addition to AIIMS and JIPMER, NEET 2018 is the only Medical entrance examination conducted in India for UG admission. To become eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS programs in NEET 2017, the candidate has to score minimum 50% of the gross (40% in case of SC / ST and OBC candidates).
Admission to AFMC is strictly based on the merit list of candidates achieved in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune cut-off 2018 belonging to different categories, which are issued by the University of Medicine and Faculty of Science and Maharashtra University.

Eligibility for applying for AFMC MBBS Examination in 2018
- The candidate who wants to apply for the 2018 admission in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune should be an Indian.
- Candidates must complete the age of 17 before 31 December 2017. Upper age limit is 25 years but for the candidates belonging to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes / other backward classes, there is a 5-year remission.
- Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English in class 11th and 12th from recognized schools conducting regular classes in Pune.
- Candidates have to pass the above-mentioned examination in all subjects.
- Candidates who have passed Class 12th from the Open Education School are not eligible to apply for the AFMC cut-off 2018.
- Candidates who have given the Annual Examination of the year 2017 and got compartment will not be eligible irrespective of the fact that they clear Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune cut-off 2018 or not.
Counseling Details
- The Armed Forces Medical College will be conducting counselling sessions for admissions into the 130 medical seats offered by the applicants. Online application forms will be available tentatively from the 1st week of June, 2017. All applicants will have to fill the required information and submit the application form tentatively till the 1st week of July, 2017. The counseling session for the selected applicants will be held tentatively in the 5th week of July, 2017 where the applicants will be called in according to their ranking in the merit list. Seats will be allotted to all qualified applicants and will be confirmed after medical examination and payment of fees.
- Candidates who have been temporarily admitted to a particular course will be present before the Medical Board on the dates given by the respective college/institute for the medical board. A candidate will not be allowed to join the course if he is found to be unqualified for the course irrespective of the fact that he clears AFMC cut-off 2018 or not.
- Waiting list of candidates for AFMC after the AFMC cut-off 2018 is out: Candidates who were present for counseling and successfully cleared AFMC cut-off 2018 and before the turn of the counseling will be given courses in prescribed Performa under AFMC. Candidates who have not selected any seat at the time of counseling will also be kept on the waiting list.
- It should be taken as an undertaking that the candidate does not pursue MBBS / BDS courses anywhere in India at the time of the counseling. If any MBBS / BDS course pursuing candidate have been recruited/maintained in India, then they will need to produce cancellation certificate from the concerned college/institute within 4 working days from the date of temporary allocation of the seat. All the concerned candidates will have to this whether or not they cleared Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Pune cut-off 2018.
