All candidates must meet each of the following five criteria to give JEE Advanced 2018:

• Candidates should be among the top 2,24,000* (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2018 then only he/she will be eligible to get admission in IIT Kanpur.

• Age limit for IIT Kanpur cut-off 2018: Candidates should be born on or after October 1, 1993. Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates for IIT Kanpur cut-off 2018, i.e. these candidates should be born on or after October 1, 1988.
• Number of attempts for IIT Kanpur cut-off 2018: A candidate can attempt JEE Advanced 2018 a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
• Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: A candidate aspiring for admissions into IIT Kanpur should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2017 or 2018 else he/she will not be eligible for IIT Kanpur cut-off 2018.
• Earlier admission at IIT Kanpur: A candidate should nothave been admitted in IIT Kanpur otherwise, he/she will not be eligible for admissions into IIT Kanpur in 2018. Candidates whose admission at any IIT was cancelled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear in IIT Kanpur cut-off 2018.

IIT Kanpur 2018 reservation policy can be availed by candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD/Defence Personnel categories in IIT Kanpur. The rules for the reservation of seats are designed by the government of India for IIT Kanpur cut-off 2018.
