IIT BHU Cut-Off 2021

Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi is a public technical and research university located in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, India. Founded in 1919 as the Banaras Engineering College, it became the Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University in 1968. IIT BHU releases the cut-off list for JEE Advanced every year after the declaration of the result. Students securing the minimum required marks will get their names in JEE Advanced merit list and a call for counseling in IIT BHU. The IIT BHU cut-off will be prepared by the official authorities of JEE Advanced and Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). IIT BHU cut-off will vary for candidates from different categories. Opening rank and closing rank of IIT BHU cut-off will be the minimum marks the candidates need to secure to get a seat at IIT BHU. Opening and closing rank of IIT BHU cut-off will vary for various B.Tech programmes at IIT BHU.

 

When will the IIT BHU cut-off 2021 be out?

  • IIT BHU cut-off will be out after the declaration of JEE Advanced results.
  • The IIT BHU cut-off will be declared by IIT Kanpur once the result of the JEE Advanced is announced, however the IIT BHU cut-off data for past years can be checked below.
  • By checking the IIT BHU cut-off, aspiring candidates will get to know their admission chances.
  • IIT BHU cut-offs for each year are based on category-wise, institution-wise and branch-wise. It must be noted that the IIT BHU cut-off varies from branch to branch, category to category and institute to institute every year.

Eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE advanced 2021?

All candidates must meet each of the following five criteria to appear in JEE Advance:

  • Students must secure rank among the top 2,24,000* (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main, then only he/she will be eligible to get admission in IIT BHU.
  • A student can attempt JEE Advanced a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
  • A candidate willing to get into IIT BHU should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time,else he/she will not be eligible for IIT BHU cut-off.
  • A candidate should not have been admitted into IIT BHU otherwise, he/she will not be eligible for admissions into IIT BHU. Aspirants whose admission at any IIT was cancelled after joining any IIT are also not eligible to appear in IIT BHU cut-off.

What is the expected result date for JEE Advanced 2021?

Since many students give JEE Advanced each year, it will take time to announce the result and therefore the IIT BHU cut-off. With the examination scheduled for students can expect the JEE Advance cut off to be announced after a few weeks of the declaration of results. Candidates can check their result for IIT BHU on JEE Advanced official website. Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful aspirants will be available through the online portal after the results for IIT BHU are declared. Emails and messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers to let them know whether they are qualified for IIT BHU cut-off 2021.

What is the admission procedure for IIT BHU?

IIT BHU has a comprehensive graduate program offering doctoral degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The undergraduate students at IIT BHU are selected through the Joint Entrance Examination Advanced exam of the IITs for the undergraduate curriculum. Admission to the B-Tech and Dual Degree (B-Tech + M-Tech) programme in IIT BHU is done through the Joint Entrance Examination – Advanced (JEE-Advanced) ALL INDIA RANKING (AIR).

Admission will be based only on category wise in IIT BHU by All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Advanced), subject to the condition that the students are in the top 20 percentiles of their Boards in respective categories.
