Admission Process for Lady Hardinge Medical College - Entrance through NEET 2018

Lady Hardinge Medical College is one of the most prestigious colleges in India. This is a government college, which belongs to the Delhi University.

Candidates entering LHMC should qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET 2017) conducted by CBSE and ultimately LHMC cut-off 2018. In addition to AIIMS and JIPMER, NEET 2018 is the only Medical entrance examination conducted in India for UG admission. To become eligible for admission to MBBS / BDS programs in NEET 2017, the candidate has to score minimum 50% of the gross (40% in case of SC / ST and OBC candidates).
Admission to LHMC is strictly based on the merit list of candidates achieved in Lady Hardinge Medical College cut-off 2018 belonging to different categories, which are issued by the University of Medicine and Faculty of Science and University of Delhi. Only if the seats are vacant after preparation of eligibility list in Lady Hardinge Medical College cut-off 2018 of Delhi-NCR candidates, desirable candidates from outside Delhi will be considered for counseling.

LHMC Reservation Policy in 2018

The distribution of seats is according to the rules of Delhi University.15% of the total seats are filled on the basis of NEET 2018 score and hence LHMC Delhi cut-off 2018. The remaining 85% is filled on the basis of norms prescribed by the Delhi University.6 seats are reserved for candidates of India for 2018 admission to LHMC. This is the reservation policy for admission into LHMC in 2018.OBC - 27%, SC - 17%, SC - 7.5%

 

 

Eligibility for applying for LHMC MBBS Examination in 2018

• The candidate who wants to apply for the 2018 admission in Lady Hardinge Medical College should be an Indian.
• Candidates must complete the age of 17 before 31 December 2017. Upper age limit is 25 years but for the candidates belonging to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes / other backward classes, there is a 5-year remission.
• Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English in class 11th and 12th from recognized schools conducting regular classes in Delhi-NCR.
• Candidates have to pass the above-mentioned examination in all subjects.
• Candidates who have passed Class 12th from the Open Education School are not eligible to apply for the LHMC cut-off 2018.
• Female candidates outside Delhi under SC / ST / CW related to Indian universities/boards or foreign universities/boards and that have qualified for the eligibility test are eligible for admission in the Lady Harding Medical College against reserved seats for these categories.
• Candidates who have given the Annual Examination of the year 2017 and got compartment will not be eligible irrespective of the fact that they clear Lady Hardinge Medical College cut-off 2018 or not.

 

 

Counseling Details

• Candidates will be called in Counseling Hall in a batch of 10 after the declaration of LHMC 2018 cut-off for counseling to allocate a course (MBBS / BDS) in a particular college (MAMC / LHMC / UCSMS / MIDS). Women candidates from Delhi will be entitled to choose LHMC, UCMS, LHMC, MIDS (first two co-educational colleges and third college specifically for female students) to select MBBS course. Male candidate will be eligible to opt for only co-educational college, either, MACC or UCMS.
• Candidates who have been temporarily admitted to a particular course will be present before the Medical Board on the dates given by the respective college/institute for the medical board. A candidate will not be allowed to join the course if he is found to be unqualified for the course irrespective of the fact that he clears LHMC cut-off 2018 or not.
• Waiting list of candidates for LHMC after the LHMC cut-off 2018 is out: Candidates who were present for counseling and successfully cleared LHMC cut-off 2018 and before the turn of the counseling will be given courses in prescribed Performa under LHMC. Candidates who have not selected any seat at the time of counseling will also be kept on the waiting list.
• It should be taken as an undertaking that the candidate does not pursue MBBS / BDS courses anywhere in India at the time of the counseling. If any MBBS / BDS course pursuing candidate have been recruited/maintained in India, then they will need to produce cancellation certificate from the concerned college/institute within 4 working days from the date of temporary allocation of the seat. All the concerned candidates will have to this whether or not they cleared Lady Hardinge Medical College NEET cut-off 2018.

Aspiring MBBS candidates will be competing for a total of 200 Seats. Out of these, 155 seats will be filled on the basis of 85 % Delhi Quota. Rest 30 seats will be filled by 15 % AIQ (All India Quota), In addition to this, 15 Seats will be filled by Central Pool Scheme.
