What is the Eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE Main 2019?
- Appearance in Class XII (or equivalent) examination: A candidate aspiring for admissions into NIT Surathkal should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination for the first time in either 2018 or 2019 else he/she will not be eligible for NIT Surathkal cut-off 2019.
- Earlier admission at NIT Surathkal: A candidate should nothave been admitted in NIT Surathkal otherwise, he/she will not be eligible for admissions into NIT Surathkal in 2019. Children of paramilitary/defence personnel killed or permanently disabled in war or peacetime operations will be considered under the category of Defence Service (DS) candidates in NIT Surathkal cut-off 2019. Two seats will be available for preferential allotment for DS candidates in NIT Surathkal cut-off 2019.
What is the admission procedure for NIT Surathkal?
NIT Surathkal has a comprehensive graduate program offering doctoral degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The undergraduate students at NIT Surathkal are selected through the Joint Entrance Examination Main 2019 of the NITs for the undergraduate curriculum. Admission to the B-Tech and Dual Degree (B-Tech + M-Tech) programme in NIT Surathkal is done through the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) All India Ranking (AIR).
Admission will be based only on category wise in NIT Surathkal by All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Main), subject to the condition that the students are in the top 20 percentiles of their Boards in respective categories.
