Admission Process for Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai - Entrance through NEET 2018

Eligibility for applying for SMRC & RI MBBS Examination in 2018
- The candidate who wants to apply for the 2018 admission in Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Institute, Chennai should be an Indian.
- Candidates must complete the age of 17 before 31 December 2017. Upper age limit is 25 years but for the candidates belonging to scheduled castes / scheduled tribes / other backward classes, there is a 5-year remission.
- Candidates should have passed 10 + 2 examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology and English in class 11th and 12th from recognized schools conducting regular classes in Delhi-.
- Candidates have to pass the above-mentioned examination in all subjects.
- Candidates who have passed Class 12th from the Open Education School are not eligible to apply for the SMRC & RI cut-off 2018.

Counseling Details
- Candidates who have been temporarily admitted to a particular course will be present before the Medical Board on the dates given by the respective college/institute for the medical board. A candidate will not be allowed to join the course if he is found to be unqualified for the course irrespective of the fact that he clears SMRC & RI cut-off 2018 or not.
- Waiting list of candidates for SMRC & RI after the SMRC & RI cut-off 2018 is out: Candidates who were present for counseling and successfully cleared SMRC & RI cut-off 2018 and before the turn of the counseling will be given courses in prescribed Performa under SMRC & RI. Candidates who have not selected any seat at the time of counseling will also be kept on the waiting list.
- It should be taken as an undertaking that the candidate does not pursue MBBS / BDS courses anywhere in India at the time of the counseling. If any MBBS / BDS course pursuing candidate have been recruited/maintained in India, then they will need to produce cancellation certificate from the concerned college/institute within 4 working days from the date of temporary allocation of the seat.
