National Institute of Technology, Delhi, also popularly known as NIT Delhi, is one of the best institutions for higher studies. NIT Delhi releases the cut-off list for JEE Main 2021. National Institute of Technology Delhi, formerly Regional Engineering College Calicut, is a public technical university and an institute of national importance governed by the NIT Act passed by the Parliament of India. The campus is situated 22 kilometres north east of Kozhikode, on the Kozhikode–Mukkam Road. It is part of a group of publicly funded institutions in India known as National Institutes of Technology. What is the Eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE Main 2021?
- Qualifying Exam: Aspirants must qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Subjects: Aspirants must take a minimum of 5 subjects in 12th/equivalent examination. Candidates appearing for JEE Main must have passed class 12th with Physics & Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.
- Passing Marks: There is no fixed percentage to appear in the examination. All candidates will now only need passing certificates in class 12th irrespective of the marks obtained (applicable only for the 2021 session).
- Appearing Candidates: If an aspirant appears in 12th or equivalent class in 2021 are also eligible for JEE Main 2021.
- NIOS candidates can also apply for this exam. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination candidates are also eligible.
- Diploma Holders: Students appearing in JEE Advanced, a diploma holder can apply in JEE Main 2021. But students rank and score in JEE Main will not be considered for admission in NITs & CFTIs.
- No board marks will be considered for calculating JEE Main score from the year 2018 onwards.
- For B.Arch (Paper 2): Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects are mandatory in 10+2 exams.

What is the reservation policy for NIT Delhi cut-off 2021?
- NIT Delhi 2021 reservation policy can be availed by candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD/Defence Personnel categories in NIT Delhi. The rules for the reservation of seats are designed by the government of India for NIT Delhi cut-off 2021. The category once given in National Institute of Technology Delhi records, cannot be changed under any circumstances. Valid Proofs of eligibility need to be submitted in order to get the reservation. Note that the students should have lower NIT Delhi cut-off 2021 rank lists.
- Children of paramilitary/defence personnel killed or permanently disabled in war or peacetime operations will be considered under the category of Defence Service (DS) candidates in NIT Delhi cut-off .Two seats will be available for preferential allotment for DS candidates in NIT Delhi cut-off 2021.
- Each section will have 5% reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016).
- Telangana holds 3 state quotas which are Home State Quota, Other State Quota and Andhra Pradesh State Quota.
- 5% out of the total seats are reserved for women candidates in all participating institutes.There is also a concession in application fees while filling up the application form.
- In NITs, 50% of the seats are reserved under Home State Quota and the rest 50% under Other State Quota.
- Vacant Home State Quota seats are converted to All India Seats for the mentioned category.
What is the admission procedure for NIT Delhi?
NIT Delhi has a comprehensive graduate program offering doctoral degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The undergraduate students at NIT Delhi are selected through the Joint Entrance Examination Main of the NITs for the undergraduate curriculum. Admission to the B-Tech and Dual Degree (B-Tech + M-Tech) programme in NIT Delhi is done through the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) All India Ranking (AIR).
Admission will be based only on category wise in NIT Delhi by All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Main), subject to the condition that the students are in the top 20 percentiles of their Boards in respective categories.
