National Institute of Technology Calicut Cut-Off 2021
National Institute of Technology, Calicut, also popularly known as NIT Calicut, is one of the best institutions for higher studies. National Institute of Technology, Calicut is a public technical university located in Delhi, India. It has been declared as an Institute of National Importance by an act of Parliament of India. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India. The range of ranks secured by the candidates who are allotted seats in a particular programme at NIT Calicut will become the opening and closing rank for the particular course. What is the Eligibility criteria for appearing in JEE Main 2021?
- Qualifying Exam: Aspirants must qualify their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Subjects: Aspirants must take a minimum of 5 subjects in 12th/equivalent examination. Candidates appearing for JEE Main must have passed class 12th with Physics & Mathematics as mandatory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.
- Passing Marks: There is no fixed percentage to appear in the examination. All candidates will now only need passing certificates in class 12th irrespective of the marks obtained (applicable only for the 2021 session).
- Appearing Candidates: If an aspirant appears in 12th or equivalent class in 2021 are also eligible for JEE Main 2021.
- NIOS candidates can also apply for this exam. Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination candidates are also eligible.
- Diploma Holders: Students appearing in JEE Advanced, a diploma holder can apply in JEE Main 2021. But students rank and score in JEE Main will not be considered for admission in NITs & CFTIs.
- No board marks will be considered for calculating JEE Main score from the year 2018 onwards.
- B.Arch (Paper 2): Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects are mandatory in 10+2 exams.

· Students who were born on or after October 1, 1993 are eligible to apply for NIT Calicut cut-off 2019. · Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), must have been born on or after October 1, 1988 to be eligible for NIT Calicut cut-off 2019. Candidates of these categories have been given a relaxation of 5 years. Note: Date of birth will be considered as mentioned in the Secondary Education Board/ University certificate. |

NIT Calicut cut-off 2017 for Scheduled Tribes category consists of the minimum cut-off ranks that a ST category applicant will have to secure to be eligible for admission in NIT Calicut. The ST category applicants aspiring for NIT Calicut who manage to secure the required ranks for admissions into NIT Calicut will be allotted seats in the engineering courses offered by NIT Calicut. NIT Calicut cut-off 2017 for Scheduled Tribes category will reveal the opening and closing ranks for admission to the ST category applicants through online mode according to NIT Calicut cut-off 2017 for ST category applicants. The NIT Calicut cut-off 2017 ranks for ST category will vary as per the course of the applicant and the category he/she belongs to. NIT Calicut cut-off 2017 for ST category will be prepared by the official authorities. It is to be noted that only those ST category applicants who meet or score higher than the closing rank will be allowed to proceed further in the admission process in NIT Calicut after the NIT Calicut cut-off 2017 for Scheduled Tribes category applicants is out.
What is the reservation policy for NIT Calicut cut-off 2021?
- NIT Calicut 2021 reservation policy can be availed by candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwD/Defence Personnel categories in NIT Calicut. The rules for the reservation of seats are designed by the government of India for NIT Calicut cut-off 2021. The category once given in National Institute of Technology Calicut records, cannot be changed under any circumstances. Valid Proofs of eligibility need to be submitted in order to get the reservation. Note that the students should have lower NIT Calicut cut-off 2021 rank lists.
- Children of paramilitary/defence personnel killed or permanently disabled in war or peacetime operations will be considered under the category of Defence Service (DS) candidates in NIT Calicut cut-off .Two seats will be available for preferential allotment for DS candidates in NIT Calicut cut-off 2021.
- Each section will have 5% reservation for Persons with Disabilities (PwD) as defined in The Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (RPwD Act 2016).
- Telangana holds 3 state quotas which are Home State Quota, Other State Quota and Andhra Pradesh State Quota.
- 5% out of the total seats are reserved for women candidates in all participating institutes.There is also a concession in application fees while filling up the application form.
- In NITs, 50% of the seats are reserved under Home State Quota and the rest 50% under Other State Quota.
- Vacant Home State Quota seats are converted to All India Seats for the mentioned category.
What is the admission procedure for NIT Calicut?
NIT Calicut has a comprehensive graduate program offering doctoral degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The undergraduate students at NIT Calicut are selected through the Joint Entrance Examination Main of the NITs for the undergraduate curriculum. Admission to the B-Tech and Dual Degree (B-Tech + M-Tech) programme in NIT Calicut is done through the Joint Entrance Examination – Main (JEE-Main) All India Ranking (AIR).
Admission will be based only on category wise in NIT Calicut by All India Rank (AIR) in JEE (Main), subject to the condition that the students are in the top 20 percentiles of their Boards in respective categories.
